2025/10/18–22 International Cetacean & Sea Turtle Symposium cum Workshop

Over the past two months, we proudly partnered with the Taiwan Cetacean Society to co-organize the 2025 International Cetacean and Sea Turtle Summit. Building on the momentum from the Asia Regional Meeting and Workshops on Sea Turtle Conservation in Taiwan, our flagship event — 2025 International Cetacean and Sea Turtle Symposium cum Workshop — concluded triumphantly in Hong Kong!

The symposium featured 33 presentations from renounced experts, veterinarians, and conservationists from around the globe, sparking innovative ideas on health assessments and cutting-edge strategies on marine conservation. Over 200 participants engaged in dynamic discussions, fuelling our passion and commitment to protecting aquatic wildlife.

To our incredible international speakers who crossed oceans (literally) to join our event in Hong Kong, a huge THANK YOU from the depths of our hearts! Your journeys — from near and far — brought world-class insights and unforgettable energy to our stage.

The post-symposium workshop featured an intensive crash course in diagnostic imaging, arming attendees with practical skills for the care of aquatic animals.

We are tremendously grateful to the Marine Conservation Enhancement Fund from the Hong Kong Offshore LNG Terminal Project for powering this groundbreaking event. Our heartfelt thanks also got to various departments at City University of Hong Kong, Ocean Park Hong Kong, Pacific Medical Systems, TeraMed, Ubivox, and Koon Chun Sauce Factory. Your generous contributions turned our vision into reality.

Beyond the event, vibrant networking forged lasting collaborations, strengthening our global alliance for marine guardians. As we ride this wave of inspiration, we are eager to apply our shared knowledge and escalate our mission to protect cetaceans and sea turtles worldwide for future generations. We look forward to seeing everyone at our symposium next year! Let’s continue working together for healthier oceans and thriving aquatic animals!
